President UK as the C in C of the KDF made announced several command changes to the top officers of the KDF.
Among the changes was the retirement of the Kenya Army Commander Lt. Gen Walter Koipaton who hails from Kajiado County.
Lt Gen Koipaton joined the military as a cadet officer in 1982 and has risen throgh yhe ranks as an instructor, staff officer and Command in the various KDF formations.He rose to commamd the Army in July 2018.
It is unlikely that this old soldier is boind to fade away; If Maj Gen. Nkaissery is any thing to follow, the General has five years to demilitarise and rejuvenate his civilian networks and seek another prominent role in tje national affairs.
